Day 2 of Classes and the Marketplace

Today was a great day for learning. My class today was with Judith DeLany, LMT who specializes in NeuroMuscular Therapy, the class was awesome. And for those of you who already receive this kind of treatment from me, I promise its legitimate and that all that squeezing bending of your tissue, is really a proven technique....trust me.. :)

It's like Skin Rolling, and I know how you all Love that soooo much, but a little more intense, as you can see. Now you know what you look like when I'm working on you. hee hee hee. Oh sorry, not that I enjoy it or anything like that! Really....!

There is one thing that is so unique about massage therapists, get them in a room together and just say "massage" and it doesn't take long for the clothes to come off. ha ha ha.

Christian working on me during the class, he's so good, I was so loopy after he worked on me AND my shoulders and neck felt so much better! Thanks Christian.

Some shots of the Vendor Marketplace where we can try some new products out, try out new tables, get some pampering and yes, even get some work on ourselves. Today, I received a face massage and a foot massage, monies that were donated for the Massage Therapy Foundation, a very worth cause!

You can even get your toes read....yes, that's what I said, TOES read. This is such an in thing that I have not been able to get in over the last two days. I'm gonna try one more time tomorrow. I already know what they are going to say.....

2008 National Convention Keynote Speaker
Judith Aston- Creator of Aston-Patterning®
Judith Aston has been honored as a somatic pioneer. Her mission is to assist in the integration of body, mind, spirit and environment by developing concepts and practices that challenge the traditional viewpoint of the body as linear, constrained and uni-dimensional.
She has created many movement and bodywork programs since 1963. Her first movement education program for Dr. Rolf became the foundation for Rolfing movement. Her forms of spiraling massage, Myo-Kinetics and Arthro-Kinetics have helped numerous therapists be more accurate and specific in their treatments.

She is absolutely brilliant!

Congrats to Pualani for her Outstanding service recognition! Hawaii you rock!

Learning from a great teacher, Ben Benjamin.

Muscular therapy is a bodywork system that focuses on:
The assessment, treatment and prevention of pain and injury problems.
Stress reduction and relaxation.
Helping people learn to better care for and enjoy their bodies.
Muscular therapy is a technique developed by Ben Benjamin in the 1960's. This bodywork system incorporates Swedish massage, deep tissue bodywork, and myofascial and friction therapies. Muscular therapy treats a variety of pain, injury, body perception and muscle tension problems. Myofascial and friction therapy techniques are used specifically to reduce scar tissue which accumulates as a result of injury to soft tissue structures in the body.

He was amazing, can't wait to take a whole training from him, this was just a teaser.

Leadership Training!

Our wonderful AMTA volunteers get trained and recognized for their dedication to the service.
