Celebrating the Holidays with Family!
Our Young Family Holiday Party, always falls after the busy holiday season. We're so happy to get to be able to spend this time with relatives that I haven't see in years, I mean, many, many years. Love them all, the kids have grown so much. Wow, where does all the time go?

How did we finish off 2008?
Worked the HNL Marathon this year too.

Well, its been a while since I've written anything in here, been doing the gmail photo album things. So what's new in Hawaii? Let see, we had a island wide blackout on Oahu the day after Christmas, we did Mochi Making at Grannie's house again this year and made 25#s of Mochi again. We were pretty tired after that, but I think we're getting this down to a science now. As usual, though Grannie is in charge.

I've been surfing a little more and been working out. Determined to make 2009 the best year ever, and trying to enjoy it instead of speeding through this one.
I'm still working on the whole divorce thing with Mathew incase you all haven't heard. Its a bloody mess, and I'll be so happy when that is over. Make sure you say "HI" to him when you see him walking with his young girl friend.
Other than that, things are going well, the condo is
now renovated so if you know of anyone looking for a place to stay in Hawaii, send them my way. I'll just post links in here to the Photo albums, goes so much faster than posting each individual picture.
Have a wonderful 2009!
Aloha,
Roxanne

Tribute to Peter Wind
We lost a good man this week, Peter Wind, Co-Owner of the Hawaiian Island School of Massage in Captain Cook, Hawaii. Olivia and I flew out to meet Greg in Kona for his memorial service and it was one that really made you stop and think about the quality of your life on this earth.
I will share some wonderful shots of Peter in this blog. What people had to share about this incredible man makes me strive to be a better person and in the end, that's all that we can aspire to be in this lifetime, better people so that when we leave this place, we are a legacy to the true meaning of living and our purpose is to inspire others to do the same. I cannot express, what a wonderful feeling it was to be around people who truly appreciated the essence of this incredible human being. We should all aspire to hear those words about us when our time comes to pass.
I have to also mention that his Wife, Lynn, did an amazing job at sharing her life with her husband with us, even in her time of mourning. It was truly beautiful to hear how much love she and Peter shared. I'm most certainly envious of their 30 years together and it gives me hope in knowing that true love, though not without difficulties, sacrifices and challenges, does exist and as long as your love for the other person is mutually undying. Life can be amazing when you find someone who loves you as much as they loved each other.
So to Lynn, my love, respect and admiration goes out to you for your courage and your amazing reverence for your soul mate, thank you for giving the rest of us hope. You are an inspiration and a true leader in the field of life and love, just by how you and Peter lived. So thank you so much for loving all of us.

We'll miss Peter tremendously. Although I did not k
now him as long as most of those people at yesterday's service, I can h
onestly say that I am all the better for knowing him for the amount of time that I did and am so grateful to have ha
d the opportunity to share so
me wonderful time with him. I will
miss him greatly.
Aloha,
Roxanne

SURFING AND DOLPHINS
Okay, so I've been wanting to get my bootie on a surfboard for some time, now, a wonderful friend hooked me up with a brand new board, a Stewart and it is incredible. Today, I went out with a friend to Kaimana Beach and wow, we surfed with a pod of about 100 spinner dolphins and even saw honu out there. it was amazing. OMG, speechless!
So I did okay, learning how to turn and how to get on a wave fast, but damn, I hate those nose dives when you're too far forward. recommend that you don't wear a suit that is sensitive to shifts in wave bashing because, it seems to move on impact. Enough said.
Have a great day!
